Fred Perry
Biography
Fred Perry has leveraged his global career to build stronger engagement and investment for advancement of high impact organizations around the world. Before joining Thunderbird as the Principal Advancement Officer, he served in various roles to build and lead the international development and fundraising efforts for Indiana University and the Kelley School of Business in the Middle East, North and West Africa, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America. In between his fourteen years at Indiana University, he spent three years as the Director of Development for Preemptive Love, a coalition stretching across Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Mexico, Venezuela, and Afghanistan, providing emergency relief and sustainable development for refugee and migrant communities impacted by war and violence.
Fred, in true Thunderbird fashion, has called eight countries home, and is above all, a citizen of the world. He serves on the board of The Alsama Project, a non-profit providing education and personal development through sports to refugee youth in Lebanon’s refugee camps and in Syria.
Fred holds a B.S. In Kinesiology and an M.S. in Middle East Studies from Indiana University. In his free time, you can find Fred spending time with his wife and two young adult children or working to reverse the effects of aging by training for his next triathlon.
